Recording, Mixing & Mastering

$95 + GST per hour

(incl engineer, use of Piano, Drums, Cymbals & Percussion &  Drum Tech assistance).

A minimum booking of 2 hours for most recording session bookings applies, depending on the setup required for your project (number of musicians, type of instruments and number of microphones required)

Piano Tuning (optional)

$220 + GST

We recommend that the piano be tuned for recordings that are intended for release. Please let us know well in advance, so we can book our tuner. We will endeavour to get the piano tuned as close to your session as possible (usually a few days before or in the morning on the day of the session).

Video Recording & Editing

We can record your session in full HD with our two Sony HXR-MC88 cameras.  Add your own cameras (via HDMI) to record up to four streams simultaneously through our ATEM Mini Pro Iso.  You can take away the files for editing or we can edit them for you.

Drum Tracks

Get drum tracks from a professional drummer with 40 years of experience in many genres and styles. Please contact Niko to chat about your track/s.

Podcast Recording

$40 + GST per hour

We can record and edit your podcasts.

Alternatively, you can hire one of our rooms, bring in your gear & laptop and press record. Room Hire only (no equipment)

BYO Engineer (Dry Hire) 

$65 per hour (Minimum booking 3 hours)

Dry Hire bookings include an engineer for the first hour which is a requirement of Pughouse Studios. 

Included Gear: Outboard (D/A, monitoring, preamps, EQs, compressors + selected microphones*)

*a safety deposit may be required for certain selections.

Location Recording

$120 + GST per hour varying, depending on the project (location, size of ensemble, need of an assistant, etc.).  A minimum charge of $360 + GST applies, which includes travel, set up and one hour of recording. Please contact Niko to discuss your project.

Booking info: 

Longer bookings don’t have to be on consecutive (although this is recommended for recording sessions to minimise set up times).

On recording days of 6 or more hours, we allow for a 30 minute set up.

A 30 minute lunch break applies for all bookings of 6 or more hours.

9:30 am bump in & setup (no charge)

10 am session start

2 pm lunch break (30min)

6:30 pm session end

 

Change of Date and Cancellation Policy:

Don’t worry. Should you need to change the session date, we don’t charge  a cancellation fee, provided we find an alternative date.

Cancellations up to 30 days to 7 days in advance - without booking a new date - incur a fee of 50%.

Cancellations up to within 7 days before the session -  without booking a new date - incur a fee of 75%.

No-Shows incur a fee of 100%

Expenses occurred by the studio in preparation for the session (such as piano tuning, assistant engineers, instrument hire, videographer, etc.) and which can't be reasonably utilized for the re-scheduled session, will be invoiced to the client.

Payments:

For longer bookings we may ask for a deposit.

Payment terms are within 14 days of receipt of Invoice (EFT preferred).
